Michael Wheeler leads ILM Capital and chairs its investment committee. He directs operations, management, and strategy of ILM and its affiliated property management firm, WE Communities.

Mike began investing in multifamily and student-focused real estate in 2012 and provides the in-house capital for all ILM-sponsored acquisitions.

Mark Moore is the Chief Financial Officer of ILM. He is responsible for managing the Company’s accounting, financial reporting, tax, and treasury functions. Prior to joining ILM, Mark had 25+ years of experience serving as the Chief Financial Officer for both private and publicly traded companies.

Mark is a Certified Public Accountant. He holds a Bachelor’s in Business Administration in Accounting a Master of Finance from St. John’s University.

AJ Hawrylak joined ILM Capital with over 17 years of experience in management, operations, sales and marketing. AJ also leads day-to-day operations of We Communities.

AJ holds a Bachelor of Science in Marketing from George Mason University.

Janelle Tiernan serves as General Counsel and head of risk management for ILM. With over 20 years of legal experience, she has concentrated her practice on real estate transactions including acquisition, financing, and disposition of multifamily and student assets, condominium conversions, as well as commercial and residential development projects. Janelle manages all legal matters for the Company and oversees corporate governance and risk management.

Janelle received her Juris Doctor degree from Suffolk University Law School in Boston.
